El ex-vocalista de Of Mice & Men, Austin Carlile, sigue batallando con el síndrome de Marfan.
Abandonó la banda a finales de 2016, y aunque se encuentra constantemente sometiéndose a cirugías para salvar su vida, sigue trabajando en la música.
Ahora presenta un nuevo proyecto en el que lleva trabajando los últimos meses y que representa un gran cambio frente a lo que realizaba con Of Mice & Men, cosa de esperarse. Ha publicado lo siguiente:

a series of 24-34 injections in my spine, hips, & legs every 3 weeks. As well as weekly IV treatments… Was making progress until earlier

in June when I began losing feeling & use of my legs… That was what ultimately hospitalized me in Costa Rica, then led me here to Stanford
